Abstract

Verižni razlomci su važan dio Teorije brojeva. Proučavajući ih u ovom radu, dobili smo bolji uvid u jedan od temeljnih pojmova te matematičke grane. Povezali smo verižne razlomke s rješenjima diofantskih jednadžbi, rješenjima kongruencija, s racionalnim aproksimacijama brojeva te s rješenjima Pellove jednadžbe.

Abstract (english)

Continued fractions are part of the theory of numbers. By studying them in this work, we have greater insight into one of the foundations of this mathematical discipline. We connect continued fractions with the solutions of Diophantine equations, congruences, with rational approximation of numbers and with solutions of Pell’s equations.
