Abstract
Ovaj završni rad predstavlja pregled literature na temu Wurtzove reakcije koju je 1855. godine otkrio francuski kemičar Adolphe Charles Wurtz, a u to vrijeme bila je jedina poznata reakcija za stvaranje nove uglik-ugljik veze. Prezentirane su osnovne činjenice o reakciji i supstratima koji u njoj sudjeluju te je opisan mehanizam reakcije i eksperimentalna uporišta koja takav mehanizam potvrđuju. S obzirom da je reakcija praćena nastajanjem velikog broja nusprodukata koji značajno smanjuju njeno iskorištenje, a put njihovog nastanka ovisi o samom sustavu, navedeni su i primjeri nusprodukata iz literature kao i detaljan mehanizam njihovog nastanka.
