Abstract

Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je ukazati na poteškoće u valnoj optici vezane uz interferenciju svjetlosti, koje su identificirane među hrvatskim gimnazijalcima, kao i srednjoškolskim učenicima i studentima u drugim zemljama. Provedena istraživanja pokazuju koliko je valna optika učenicima i studentima zahtjevna i teška. Dobro razumijevanje pojava interferencije mehaničkih ili svjetlosnih valova, izgleda da se teško razvija uobičajenim predavačkim načinom poučavanja fizike. Kako bi se osiguralo bolje razumijevanje pojave interferencije bitno je promijeniti način poučavanja iz predavačkog u istraživački usmjerenu nastavu. U radu je predstavljena istraživačka nastavna sekvenca kojom bi učenici trebali bolje upoznati i shvatiti pojavu interferencije svjetlosti, a uključuje frontalne i učeničke opservacijske, istraživačke i aplikacijske pokuse, konceptualna pitanja, matematičke opise pojava i raspravu. Istraživački usmjerenom nastavom učenici postaju aktivni u procesu učenja i na taj način očekujemo da bi lakše svladali pojavu interferencije svjetlosti.

Abstract (english)

The goal of this diploma thesis was to point to student difficulties related to the interference of light that were identified on Croatian gymnasium students, as well as on secondary and university students in other countries. The conducted studies show that wave optics is a demanding and difficult topic for students. Good understanding of the interference of mechanical or light waves seems to be hard to develop through the usual lecture-based physics teaching. To achieve better understanding of the interference phenomenon it is important to switch from lecture-based to inquiry-based teaching. In this thesis an inquiry-based teaching sequence is presented through which students should better familiarize themselves with and understand the phenomenon of interference of light and includes frontal and students’ observational, investigative and application experiments, conceptual questions, mathematical descriptions of phenomena and discussion. Through inquiry-based teaching students become active in the learning process and it is expected that in this way they could master more easily the phenomenon of interference of light.
