Abstract

Površina je veličina dijela ravne plohe koju zauzima neki lik. Učenici se s pojmom površine susrću u četvrtom razredu osnovne škole. Tijekom školovanja upoznaju formule za računanje površine mnogih likova. U prvom poglavlju objašnjen je koncept mjerenja u nastavi matematike, dok je u sljedećem dan vertikalan pregled otkrivanja formula za računanje površina likova. U trećem poglavlju nalaze se primjeri aktivnosti otkrivanja formula za računanje površina likova koje se mogu iskoristiti na nastavi matematike. U četvrtom poglavlju dokazane su neke od formula koje su spomenute u prethodnom poglavlju. Na samom kraju rada analizirani su zadaci koji se nalaze u udžbenicima te uspoređeni sa zadacima koji se pojavljuju na ispitima državne mature te u sklopu PISA i TIMSS istraživanja.

Abstract (english)

The area is the space taken up by a flat surface of an object. The students encounter the term area in the fourth grade of elementary school. During their schooling, they are getting to know mathematical formulas for different plane figure area calculations. The first chapter explains the concept of measuring in mathematics, while the following chapter gives vertical overview of plane figure area calculation formulas. The third chapter gives examples of activities for discovering formulas for plane figure area calculation that can be used in mathematics teaching. In the fourth chapter there is proof for some of the formulas mentioned in the previous chapter. The very end of the thesis gives analysis of the tasks found in the coursebooks and compares them to the tasks from Matura exams and PISA and TIMSS researches.
