Abstract

Gornjopermski sediment središnjeg dijela Dinarida sadrži tri glavna facijesa: 1. karbonate (lagunarni, plimski vapnenci), 2. evaporite (gips, anhidrit) s ranodijagenetskim dolomitima, 3. klastične stijene (siltit, pješčenjak) te jedan poseban tip stijena – šupljikave karbonatne breče. Superpozicijski slijed ta tri facijesa i šupljikavih breča često nije potpuno jasan zbog pokrivenosti terena i vegetacije, te zbog intenzivne tektonske poremećenosti naslaga. Evaporiti su najstariji facijes, a na njima leže klastični i/ili karbonatni facijes i šupljikave karbonatne breče. Klastične stijene su taložene u okolišima prednjeg žala i/ili u okolišima plaja do slanih jezera. Šupljikave karbonatne breče su interpretirane kao terestičke tvorevine, tj. kao sekundarni površinski produkti fizičkog i kemijskog trošenja tektonski razdrobljenih karbonatno-evaporitnih sedimenata. Vapnenci karbonatnog facijesa nastali u udruženju s evaporitima pripadaju sedimentima taloženim u ograničenim, plitkim, slanim lagunama ili u vrlo plitkom potplimskom ili plimskom okolišu regresivnog ciklusa. Evaporiti koji su danas na površini zastupljeni gipsom nastalim hidratacijom anhidrita, taloženi su u evaporitnim uvjetima u rubnim dijelovima epikontinentalnog morskog bazena koji je zbog opće regresivne tedencije i permanentne progradacije obale, odnosno stalnog povlačenja mora, završavao formiranjem i duže vremena održavanjem sabkha i plaja uvjeta. Po svojim sedimentacijskim značajkama ti se evaporiti mogu usporediti s evaporitima “Bellerophon formacije” u gornjem permu Južnih Alpa, Italije.

Abstract (english)

The Upper Permian sediments from central part of the Dinarides contains three main facies: 1. carbonates (lagoonal, intertidal limestones); 2. evaporites (gypsum, anhydrite) with early-diagenetical dolomites, 3. clastic rocks (siltstones, sandstones) and one special rock type – carbonate cavity breccias. The superposing succession of three main facies types and facies of carbonate cavity breccia is often indistinct due to soil and vegetation and intensive tectonic disruption of the sequences. Evaporites are the oldest facies and are succeeded by clastic and/or carbonate facies and carbonate cavity breccias. The clastic rocks were deposited either fore-shore or playa to salt-lake playa environment. The carbonates breccias are interpretated as terrestrial features, i.e. secondary surface products of physical and chemical weathering of tectonically disrupted carbonate-evaporite sediments. Limestones of the carbonate facies occurring in association with evaporites belong to sediments deposited in restricted shallow, hypersaline lagoons or in very shallow subtidal to intertidal environments of the regressive cycle. The present surface gypsum evaporites (products of hydration of anhydrite), were deposited in evaporation conditions around the edges of an epeiric marine basin, which in conditions of a general regressive tendency and permanent coastal seawards progradation, ended in the formation and maintenance of sabkha and playa conditions.The Upper Permian evaporites of central Dinarides are comparable with evaporites from the Bellerophon Formation from the Southern Alps, Italy.
