Abstract

U Jadranskom moru obitava veliki broj zaštićenih i ugroženih beskralježnjaka. Strogo je
zaštićeno: 10 vrsta spužvi, 14 vrsta koralja, 9 vrsta puževa, 5 vrsta školjkaša, jedna vrsta
mahovnjaka i 3 vrste bodljikaša. Ovaj rad daje informacije o biologiji, ekologiji i uzrocima
ugroženosti najpoznatijih vrsta. Čimbenici kao što su onečišćenje, patogeni, pretjerani izlov,
kočarenje te gubitak staništa značajno utječu na brojnost populacija pojedinih vrsta
beskralježnjaka. Iako su neke vrste zakonom zaštićene, provedba i nadzor često su nedostatni i
neučinkoviti. Prema IUCN-ovoj crvenoj listi najveći broj kritično ugroženih vrsta pripada
skupini koralja. U Hrvatskoj ulažu se veliki napori u istraživanje i oporavak populacije plemenite
periske koja je kritično ugrožena, a ujedno i endem Sredozemnog mora. Većina morskih
beskralježnjaka u Jadranu nedovoljno je istražena i raspoloživi podaci o njima su nedostatni ili
manjkav

Abstract (english)

The Adriatic Sea inhabits a large number of protected and endangered invertebrates. Strictly
protected are: 10 species of sponges, 14 species of coral, 9 species of snails, 5 species of
bivalves, one species of bryozoans and 3 species of echinoderms. This survey provides an
overview of protected and endangered species of invertebrates, as well as information related to
the the biology, ecology and causes of the endangerment of the most notable species. Factors
such as pollution, pathogens, overfishing, trawling and loss of habitat significantly affect the
abundance of populations of certain invertebrate species. Although some species are protected by
law, enforcement and monitoring are often insufficient and ineffective. According to the IUCN
red list, the largest number of critically endangered species belongs to the coral group. In
Croatia, great efforts are invested in the research and recovery of the population of the noble pen
shell, which is critically endangered and at the same time endemic to the Mediterranean Sea.
Most of the marine invertebrates in the Adriatic are insufficiently researched and the available
data on them is insufficient or incomplete.
