Abstract

Ovaj rad objašnjava koje biljne terapije su učinkovite u liječenju određenih patoloških stanja živčanog sustava poput anksioznosti, depresije, nesanice, sindroma nemirnih nogu i tenzijskog tipa glavobolje. Navedene terapije biljkama su se pokazale podosta učinkovitim u liječenju blagih do umjerenih oblika ovih stanja, uz minimalne nuspojave. Štoviše, biljke poput gospine trave, pasiflore, ružičastog žednjaka i ljekovitog odoljena su pokazale izraziti potencijal u ublažavanju simptoma većine ovih stanja. Međutim, potrebna su daljnja istraživanja, posebno putem kliničkih studija, za bolje razumijevanje načina i opsega kojim biljna terapija može pomoći u liječenju poremećaja živčanog sustava.

Abstract (english)

This paper explains which herbal remedies are effective in the treatment of certain pathologies of the nervous system such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and tension-type headaches. The mentioned herbal remedies are found to be quite effective in the treatment of mild to moderate forms of these conditions, with minimal adverse effects observed. Notably, herbs such as St. John's wort, passion flower, rhodiola, and valerian have shown great potential in alleviating the symptoms of most of these conditions. However, further research is needed, particularly through clinical trials, to gain a better grasp on the manner and scope in which herbal therapy can help treat ailments of the nervous system.
