Abstract

Sukladno sve većim ulaganjima u filmsku industriju, filmski se turizam od početka 21. stoljeća počinje sve više promovirati na svjetskoj razini. Međutim, Republika Hrvatska unatoč lijepim krajolicima i bogatoj kulturnoj baštini još uvijek nije u potpunosti prepoznata kao filmska destinacija. Ističe se jedino Dubrovnik koji je poslužio kao lokacija snimanja Igre prijestolja, jedne od najpopularnijih serija na svijetu, što mu je osiguralo turistički i ekonomski procvat od 2012. godine. Ipak, filmski turizam ne mora uvijek biti prednost za destinaciju što je vidljivo na primjeru otoka Visa čiji je važan razlog depopulacije upravo filmski turizam. Vođene tim primjerom, turističke destinacije većine primorskih gradova Hrvatske, unatoč činjenici da imaju mogućnost promovirati filmski turizam, ipak ostaju pri svojoj trenutnoj turističkoj ponudi. Međutim, buduća suradnja inozemnih filmskih produkcija i prekrasnih hrvatskih lokacija, Hrvatskoj bi mogla biti od velike ekonomske koristi, budući da su troškovi minimalni, a prihodi potencijalno veliki.

Abstract (english)

In accordance with all the major investments in the film industry, since the beginning of the 21st century, film tourism has started increasingly promoting on a global scale. However, despite its beautiful landscapes and rich cultural heritage, the Republic of Croatia is still not fully recognized as a film destination. The only thing that stands out is Dubrovnik, which served as the filming location for Game of Thrones, one of the most popular series in the world, which ensured its touristic and economic boom since 2012. However, film tourism does not always have to be a good thing for the destination, which is evident on the example of the island of Vis, whose important reason for the depopulation is precisely film tourism. Led by example, the tourist destinations of most coastal cities in Croatia, despite the fact that they have the opportunity to promote film tourism, still remain with their current tourist offer. However, future cooperation between foreign film productions and beautiful Croatian locations could be of great economic benefit in Croatia, since the costs are minimal and the revenues potentially large.
