Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu izrađen je pregled otkrića i razumijevanja supravodljivosti kao pojave u fizici čvrstog stanja. Heike Kamerlingh Onnes i njegovo otkriće supravodljivosti 1911. godine su započeli niz eksperimentalnih i teorijskih napora za objašnjavanjem otkrivene pojave, koja je i dan danas predmet istraživanja. Proučen je razvoj teorija supravodljivosti, od elektrodinamičkog pristupa braće London, koji su postavili prvu jednadžbu koja objašnjava dio pojave, i Ginzburg-Landau modela do BCS teorije i njene matematičke formulacije. Proučen je i glavni primjer primjene supravodljivosti u obliku Josephsonovog efekta te SQUID-a, koji je nezamjenjiv uređaj u eksperimentalnim istraživanjima.

Abstract (english)

In this master’s thesis I made a review of the discovery and understanding of superconductivity as a phenomenon in solid state physics. Heike Kamerlingh Onnes and his discovery of superconductivity in 1911 were the beginning of a great deal of experimental and theoretical attempts at explaining the phenomenon. Multiple theories were studied, including the electrodynamics of superconductors and the London brothers’ equation, the Ginzburg-Landau model and the BCS theory and its formalism. The Josephson effect was studied as well as the SQUID, with it being an important application of our knowledge of superconductivity and an irreplaceable experimental research tool.
