Abstract

Ravnokrilci i žohari (Insecta: Orthoptera, Blattodea) uzorkovani su duž povremene rijeke Krčić u dva tipa staništa – riparijskom i krškom. Ova staništa razlikuju se u okolišnim čimbenicima, osobito temperaturi zraka i tla, koje su značajno više u krškom, te vlažnosti zraka, koja je značajno viša u riparijskom staništu. Uzorkovanje je provedeno na 72 postaje s tri lovne posude po postaji, od travnja do studenog 2014. Sakupljena je ukupno 41 svojta ravnokrilaca s 1168 jedinki te 8 svojti žohara sa 450 jedinki. Bogatstvo svojti, abundancija i raznolikost ravnokrilaca i žohara bile su značajno više u krškom nego u riparijskom staništu. Ukupno 6 dominantnih svojti ravnokrilaca i 6 dominantnih svojti žohara pronađeno je u riparijskom staništu, dok je 5 svojti ravnokrilaca i 4 svojte žohara bilo dominantno u krškom staništu. Sezonska dinamika abundantnih vrsta pokazala se raznolikom, proizlazeći iz različitih životnih ciklusa tih vrsta. Prostorna raspodjela zajednica ravnokrilaca i žohara bila je u prvom redu određena temperaturom tla i vlažnošću zraka, što je pokazano kanoničkom analizom podudarnosti. Ovo istraživanje doprinijelo je razumijevanju prostorne raspodjele ravnokrilaca i žohara na istraživanom području te općem poznavanju ekoloških zahtjeva i sezonske dinamike pojedinih svojti.

Abstract (english)

Grasshoppers and crickets, and cockroaches (Insecta: Orthoptera, Blattodea) were sampled along the temporary Krčić River in two habitat types – riparian and karst. These habitats differ in environmental factors, particularly air and soil temperature, significantly higher in the karst, and air humidity, significantly higher in the riparian habitat. Sampling was performed by pitfall traps at 72 sites in 2014. In total 41 orthopteran taxa with 1,168 specimens and 8 cockroach taxa with 450 specimens were collected. Taxon richness, abundance and diversity of both orthopterans and cockroaches were significantly higher in the karst habitat than in the riparian habitat. Altogether 6 dominant orthopteran and 6 dominant cockroach taxa were found in the riparian habitat, while 5 orthopteran and 4 cockroach taxa dominated in the karst. Seasonal dynamics of abundant species were found to be diverse, resulting from different life cycles. Spatial distribution of orthopteran and cockroach assemblages was primarily governed by soil temperature and air humidity, as indicated by the canonical correspondence analysis. This study contributed to the understanding of spatial distribution of orthopteran and cockroach assemblages in the study area and to the general knowledge of ecological preferences and seasonal dynamics of certain taxa.
