Abstract

U radu su analizirane, na temelju svjetskih primjera, moguće negativne posljedice ispuštanja balastnih voda u Jadransko more. Istraženo je kako s geoekološkog aspekta čovjek utječe na ekosustav i kako taj promjenjeni ekosustav utječe na
čovjeka u svim segmentima njegova djelovanja. Navedeno je kako balastne vode utječu na ljudsko zdravlje, turizam, priobalnu industriju i gospodarstvo. Prikazane su razne metode obrade balasta i njihov stupanj učinkovitosti, kojima se spriječava širenje alohtonih invanzivnih organizama. Analizirana je opravdanost projekta Družba Adria i postavljne su neke smjernice kojim bi Hrvatska putem trebala ići. Istaknuta je važnost udruženja svim zemalja koje imaju izlaz na Jadransko more. Nužnost proglašenja Jadrana posebno osjetljivim područjem s ciljem njegove trajne zaštite.

Abstract (english)

This paper analyses, according to global examples, possible negative effects of ballast water emissions in the Adriatic Sea. It has been explored how, from a geo-ecological aspect, man influences the ecosystem and how such an altered ecosystem influences man in all the segments of his functioning. It has been written how ballast waters influence human health, tourism, coastal industry and economy. Various methods of ballast processing and their levels of efficiency have been given, which prevent the spreading of allochthonous invasive organisms. An analysis of the justifiability of the project "Družba Adria" was given and some guidelines were set for the future of Croatia. The importance of union between all countries on the Adriatic Coast has been raised, and a necessity of declaring the Adriatic Sea an especially sensitive area has been underlined, with its protection in mind.
