Abstract

Tematika ovog rada su promjene u funkcionalno - prostornoj strukturi Čakovca od 1991. godine do danas. Analiziraju se promjene glavnih gradskih funkcija (stambene funkcije, poslovne funkcije, prometne funkcije, gospodarske funkcije te rekreacija i odmor). Nastoje se prepoznati i tumačiti procesi i čimbenici koji su utjecali na razvoj i promjene tih funkcija grada. Od 1991. godine do danas na području Čakovca realizirani su brojni projekti koji su pozitivno utjecali na porast kvalitete života i razvoj tog prostora. U radu će se utvrditi korisnost i isplativost tih projekata te projekata koji su još u planu. Na temelju geografskog položaja i smještaja Čakovca u samom centru Međimurske županije i u hrvatsko – mađarsko – slovenskom pograničnom području, u radu se analiziraju mogućnosti daljnjeg razvoja Čakovca koji će biti neminovno potaknut ulaskom Hrvatske u Europsku uniju.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this Master Thesis are the changes in functional – spatial structure of Čakovec from 1991 until today. The main city functions are analyzed (housing function, business function, transport function, economy function, recreation and rest). The processes and factors which influenced the development and changes of main city functions are being identified and explained. Numerous projects have been realized since 1991 until today and they have had a positive influence on the increase in quality of life and development of Čakovec. This work will determine the usefulness and viability of these projects and projects that will be realized in the future. On the basis of geographical location of Čakovec in the center of Međimurje county and in Croatian - Hungarian - Slovenian border region, the paper analyzes the possibilities of further development of the city that will inevitably be driven by Croatian accession to the European Union.
