Abstract

Promet je u današnje vrijeme jedna od osnovnih gospodarskih djelatnosti tercijarnog sektora te ima namjenu prenošenja i prevoženja ljudi, robe, energije i informacija. Promet i prometna povezanost igraju veliku ulogu u prostoru i svojim djelovanjem utječu na prostorne, demografske, socijalne, ekonomske, gospodarske i mnoge druge faktore pojedinog područja. Prostor Primorsko-goranske županije ima vrlo povoljan prometno geografski položaj te je značajan za razvitak cjelokupnog prometnog sustava Republike Hrvatske. Najveća pomorska teretna luka u državi, međunarodna zračna luka, važni cestovni pravci koji povezuju kontinentalnu Hrvatsku s primorskom Hrvatskom, željeznička pruga koja povezuje središte županije s glavnim gradom naše države najvažniji su čimbenici prometnog sustava Primorsko-goranske županije. Planirano proširenje i modernizacija postojeće pomorske luke, kao i izgradnja nove moderne željezničke pruge predstavljaju potencijal i razvojnu perspektivu za prometni sustav i općeniti razvoj gospodarstva Primorsko-goranske županije. Cilj rada je prikazati i analizirati postojeće stanje prometnog sustava Primorsko-goranske županije i definirati razvojne mogućnosti navedenog područja koje predstavljaju okosnicu gospodarskog napretka Republike Hrvatske.

Abstract (english)

Traffic is one of the main economic activities of the tertiary sector nowadays and it has a function of transporting people, goods, energy and information. Traffic and traffic links play major role in space and their actions affect the spatial, demographic, social, economic and many other factors of each area. Area of Primorje-Gorski Kotar county has very good traffic position and it also has very important role in development of the whole transport system in Croatia. The County has the largest marine cargo port in Croatia, an international airport, important roads that connect the continental part of the country and the capital with the coast, railway which connects the capital of the country with the center of the County. The planned expansion and modernization of existing seaports and the construction of new modern railway line represent the potential and development prospects for the transport system and the general economic development of the County. The aim of this work is to present and analyze the current situation of the transport system of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and define development prospects for mentioned area which represent the backbone of economic development for Croatia.
