Abstract

Međunarodni sustav jedinica najrasprostranjeniji je sustav mjernih jedinica u svijetu. Svoje ime „SI – sustav“ (franc. Système International d'unités) dobio je 1960. godine na 11. Generalnoj konferenciji za utege i mjere, a od 1971. godine do danas temelji se na 7 dobro utvrđenih osnovnih jedinica iz kojih se, ovisno o njihovom međusobnom odnosu, matematičkim operacijama mogu izvesti sve ostale, tzv. izvedene jedinice. Osnovne jedinice SI sustava su: metar (m), kilogram (kg), sekunda (s), amper... More (A), kelvin (K), kandela (cd) i mol (mol). Znanost o mjerenju naziva se metrologija i za nju možemo reći da nosi titulu najstarije znanosti svijeta. Mjerenje je postojalo puno prije nego je nastao SI sustav, štoviše možemo reći da je mjerenje staro gotovo koliko i čovječanstvo jer se pojavom prvih ljudi javlja početak čovjekovog metrološkog koncepta. Iako smo od te polazne točke daleko, kako vremenom tako i prostorom, ljudi su i tada, slično kao i danas, stavljali naglasak na važnost točnog mjerenja. Do razvoja i pojave metarskog sustava, kada su predstavljeni prvi međunarodni mjerni standardi u obliku tvarnih pramjera metra i kilograma, postojao je velik broj različitih mjernih jedinica koje su služile za mjerenje iste veličine što je otežavalo trgovinu, promet, oporezivanje i ostale ljudske djelatnosti. Razvojem znanosti i ljudske djelatnosti povećavao se broj potrebnih mjernih jedinica, što je povlačilo potrebu za međunarodnim mjernim jedinstvom kako bi zemlje i narodi olakšali komunikaciju i širenje ideja. U ovom radu opisan je razvoj SI sustava jedinica, počevši od antropometrijskih mjernih jedinica koje predstavljaju početak čovjekovog metrološkog koncepta, preko Konvencije o metru i SI sustava koji je danas u upotrebi pa sve do prijedloga o redefiniranju postojećeg SI sustava jedinica, čija se odluka očekuje 2018. godine. Također, opisani su osnovni metrološki pojmovi, poput mjerenja i mjerne jedinice, te koncepti i ideje metrologije, a u metodičkom dijelu opisani su problemi sa učeničkom interpretacijom rezultata mjerenja i pripadajuće pogreške mjerenja, te je napravljen osvrt na članak o istraživanju učinka grafičkog prikaza rezultata na učeničko razumijevanje rezultata i pripadajuće pogreške mjerenja. Abstract (english)

The International System of Units is the most widespread system of units in the world. The name „SI system“ (French for Système International d'unités) was given by the 11th General conference on weights and measures in 1960., and as of 1971. it is based on seven well defined base units from which all the other units can be derived using an appropriate mathematical operation. The SI base units are: the meter (m), the kilogram (kg), the second (s), the ampere (A), the kelvin (K), the candela... More (cd) and the mole (mol). Metrology is the science of measurement and we can safely say that it is the oldest science in the world. Measurement is almost as old as humanity because with the emergence of man came the birth of his metrological concepts. Although it seems like we are far away from that point, both in time and space, people then, much like today, emphasized the importance of correct measurement. Until the birth of the metric system, when the first international standards were made and introduced in the form of objects (the meter and the kilogram), there was a huge number of physical units that were used to measure the same quantity. This made trade, taxation and other human activities very difficult. As science and human activities evolved, the need for international unity in the world of units was apparent. In this thesis the evolution of the SI system is described, beginning with the anthropometric units which mark the beginning of mans metrological concepts, and ending with the proposition to redefine todays SI system of units.
