Abstract

Razvoj prostorne strukture Zadra nakon Drugog svjetskog rata obilježen je obnavljanjem povijesne jezgre grada smještene na poluotoku te širenjem grada prema kopnu. Analizom prikupljenih izvora i uspoređivanjem planova grada iz različitih vremenskih razdoblja izrađena je kronologija razvoja prostorne strukture te su izdvojeni ključni procesi koji su uvjetovali današnje stanje. Nakon Drugog svjetskog rata izrađeno je više planova po kojima se jezgra trebala obnavljati, međutim ni jedan nije dosljedno proveden. Istovremeno, procesi industrijalizacije i imigracije stanovnika utjecali su na pojačanu izgradnju u kopnenom dijelu grada. U početku se širenje grada odvijalo bez kvalitetne planske regulacije. Razvoj je obilježen individualnom stambenom i vojnom izgradnjom. U razdoblju nakon Domovinskog rata industrija je uglavnom koncentrirana u planiranoj zoni, dok se stari pogoni i vojne zone zamjenjuju stambenim, poslovnim i sportskim objektima.

Abstract (english)

The Development of spatial structure of Zadar after World War Two was characterized by the restoration of city's historic center, situated on the peninsula, and by the expansion of the city to the mainland. After analyzing the collected sources and comparing city plans from different time periods, a chronology of spatial structure development was made, from which were abstracted the key processes that conditioned the present city's spatial structure. After World War Two, several city center restoration plans were made, but none of them was consistently implemented. At the same time, the processes of industrialization and immigration, led to the city's increased expansion into the mainland. At the beginning, the expansion of the city took place without proper planning regulation. The development was characterized by individual housing and military construction. In the period after Croatian Homeland War, industry is mostly located in the planned industrial zone, while the old factories and military zones are being replaced by residential, commercial and sports facilities.
