Abstract

Park Maksimir, prvi javni park Jugoistočne Europe, važan je privlačni faktor u turističkoj ponudi Zagreba. Bogatstvo prirodne i kulturne baštine, duga tradicija te umjetnička vrijednost ključni su razlozi zbog kojih park privlači turiste. Zagreb, kao važno prometno, kulturno, obrazovno, administrativno i trgovačko središte te glavni grad Hrvatske, posljednjih godina bilježi značajan porast turističkih dolazaka i noćenja. Međutim, u turističkim krugovima park Maksimir nije prepoznat kao važnija turistička atrakcija Zagreba. Daljnjim rastom popularnosti Zagreba zasigurno će rasti i broj posjetitelja parka Maksimir, no prije toga potrebno je poboljšati marketing i promociju parka, a elemente turističke ponude parka obogatiti, pazeći pritom na usklađivanje sa stupnjem zaštite pod kojom se park nalazi.

Abstract (english)

Maksimir Park, the first public park in the Southeastern Europe, is an important appealing factor in the tourism offer of Zagreb. Its rich natural and cultural heritage, long tradition and artistic value are key elements in attracting tourists. Zagreb, an important economic, cultural, educational and political center and the capital of Croatia, in the past years has had a significant increase in the number of tourist arrivals and overnight stays. However, Maksimir Park is not recognized in the tourist circles as an important tourist attraction of Zagreb. With the growing popularity of Zagreb, the number of visitors will surely also grow, but first marketing and promotion of the park need to be upgraded, as well as the elements of the tourist offer, keeping in mind the level of protection the park is under.
