Abstract

Koncept autentičnosti već je više desetljeća prepoznat kao važan fenomen na području turizma kojeg vrijedi istraživati. Osnovni cilj rada je propitati koncept autentičnosti u turizmu Istarske županije. U analizi su obrađena dva različita primjera. Prvi od njih odnosi se na istraživanje uloge festivala i drugih događanja u stvaranju destinacijske slike unutrašnje Istre, pri čemu se nastojao utvrditi stupanj njene autentičnosti. Za drugi primjer izabran je projekt Istra Inspirit. Metodološki okvir rada obuhvaća kvantitativna istraživanja koja uključuju analizu sadržaja internetskih stranica te obradu anketnog upitnika kojeg provodi organizator događanja Istra Inspirit kao i kvalitativno istraživanje temeljeno na participativnom opažanju autorice i dubinskim intervjuima. Radom se nastojalo dokazati tezu o važnosti autentičnosti u kontekstu turizma što je studijama slučajeva te primjerima unutar njih kao i odgovorima posjetitelja itekako potvrđeno. No autorica zaključuje kako bi model objektne autentičnosti koji u događanjima prevladava trebalo zamijeniti egzistencijalističkom autentičnosti s obzirom da je osnovni cilj organizatora postići emotivni doživljaj Istre kod posjetitelja. Rješenje se pronalazi u primjeni modela naglašene teatralnosti, kao jednog od pristupa autentičnosti prema kojem bi se događajima pristupilo s većom mjerom umjetničke nedorečenosti koja omogućava većem broju posjetitelja širi dijapazon doživljaja i spoznaja, ovisno o vlastitim unutarnjim potrebama.

Abstract (english)

For decades, the concept of authenticity has been recognized as an important tourist phenomenon and therefore valuable research objective. The main aim of the thesis is to investigate the concept of authenticity in tourism of Istria County. Analysis is based on two different examples. Firstly, we aim to determine degree of authenticity of destination image of Inner Istria and research the role of festivals in that process. Second example concerns living history project entitled Istra Inspirit. Methodological framework consists of both quantitative and qualitative techniques. We have used content analysis of web pages of tourist boards, questionnaire survey conducted by organizers of Istra Inspirit events as well as participatory observations and in-depth interviews. The research results confirmed the importance of authenticity in tourism. However, we propose to replace the model of objective authenticity which currently dominates Istra Inspirit events with the model of existential authenticity. This is of great importance since the main aim of the organizers is to create emotional experience. The proposal is based on the concept of the shown theatricality, as an approach towards authenticity that accentuates greater level of artistic freedom which enables broader and richer varieties of experiences and understandings, depending on individual inner needs.
