Abstract

Tema rada je historijsko-geografski razvoj Samobora u okviru njegovih administrativnih međa. Prirodno-geografski faktori razvoja naseljenosti analizirani su u prvom dijelu rada. U drugom dijelu razmatra se historijsko-geografski razvoj grada Samobora u čijim se pojedinim etapama ističu utjecaji različitih društvenih faktora. Razvoj grada Samobora je išao očekivanim putem, kao trgovačko mjesto i rudarsko središte. Značaj Samobora u prometnom smislu jača sve do konca 19. stoljeća kada željeznica zaobilazi Samobor. Ulogu u gospodarskom i političkom razvoju imali su različiti plemići koji su bili pokretači trgovine i posjednici kapitala u procesima napretka grada. Sekundarno su to vanjskopolitičke okolnosti, odnosno položaj Hrvatske unutar različitih političkih zajednica i „tuđih“ vladarskih dinastija, te u suvremenom razdoblju, koje započinje u drugoj polovici 20. stoljeća, procesi industrijalizacije, deagrarizacije i deruralizacije. Najnovije razdoblje obilježeno je demografskim starenjem i blagom depopulacijom. Zbog osnovnih demografskih i ekonomskih pokazatelja projekcije budućeg demografskog i gospodarskog razvoja Samobora su relativno povoljne.

Abstract (english)

The paper discusses the historical and geographical development of Samobor in the framework of its administrative boundary. Natural and geographical factors of population development are analyzed in the first part. The second part deals with the historical and geographical development of the city of Samobor in whose respective periods highlights the impact of various social factors. The development of Samobor went through the expected, as a trading place and mining center. The importance of Samobor in terms of traffic, strengthens until the end of the 19th century when the railway bypassed Samobor. Role in the economic and political development had different nobles who were drivers of trade and capital holders in the process of improvement of the city. Secondary circumstances are foreign or Croatian position within the different political communities and "other people's" royal dynasty, and in the contemporary period, which began in the second half of the 20th century, the processes of industrialization, agrarian and deruralization. The latest period was marked by demographic aging and depopulation treasure. Because basic demographic and economic indicators projections of future demographic and economic development of Samobor are relatively favorable.
