Abstract

Predmet istraživanja ovoga rada je primjena GIS softvera u razvoju speleološke geoprostorne baze podataka koja obuhvaća speleološke objekte i njihova obilježja. Rad je pisan s ciljem stvaranja geoprostorne baze podataka koja može doprinijeti efikasnijim i bolje organiziranim speleološkim istraživanjima, budući da su unos i pohrana podataka imperativ za uspješno istraživanje. Proces stvaranja geoprostorne baze podataka tekao je kroz tri temeljne faze: konceptualnu, logičku i fizičku fazu razvoja. Podatci koji su se unosili bili su s područja Samoborskog gorja. Definirali su se GIS alati, geoinformacijski sustavi i vrste baze podataka, a geoprostorna je baza za potrebe speleologije rađena u ESRI ArcCatalog-u.

Abstract (english)

The thesis is based on developing a database using GIS software.It is based on special needs of certain informations for speleology purposes. The aim of the thesis is to increase effectiveness of speleology research and to contribute to the organization of fieldwork. The building of the geodatabase went through three core developing stages: conceptual, logical and physical. The structure data defined the organization of Feature Datasets. The inserted data was from the region Samoborsko gorje. FInally, the geodatabase was developed in ArcCatalog.
