Abstract

Rad analizira razvoj bicikla i biciklističkog prometa u Europskoj uniji i u Hrvatskoj. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na biciklistički promet u Danskoj i Nizozemskoj s obzirom da je njihov biciklistički promet najrazvijeniji. Za analizu biciklističkog prometa u Hrvatskoj odabrani su gradovi Varaždin, Zagreb i Koprivnica.U radu se analiziraju zakonski okviri, duljina biciklističkih staza te njihova kvaliteta, sustavi javnih bicikala, budući planovi za unaprijeđenje postojeće biciklističke infrastrukture.

Abstract (english)

This thesis is analyzing the development of bicycles and bicycle traffic in the European Union and Croatia. Special emphasis has been put on bicycle traffic in Denmark and the Netherlands due to the fact that they are the most developed in this area. Varaždin, Zagreb and Koprivnica have been chosen for analyzing bicycle traffic in Croatia. The thesis looks at the legal frame, the length of the bicycle path and their quality, the system of public bicycles, future plans for improving the existing infrastructure for bicycles.
