Abstract

Kvazičestična aproksimacija slučajnih faza predstavlja jedan od najčešće korištenih modela za opis kolektivnih pobuđenja u atomskim jezgrama. Veličina kvazičestičnog prostora dosad je ograničavala račune u deformiranim teškim jezgrama. Nedavno predložena metoda konačnih amplituda (FAM - Finite Amplitude Method) omogućava takve račune uz mnogo manje zahtjeve za računalnim resursima. Metoda je dosad uglavnom korištena u opisu monopolnog odziva dok su primjene na više multipole bile manje zastupljene. U okviru ovog diplomskog rada razvijena je implementacija metode konačnih amplituda temeljena na relativističkom energijskom funkcionalu gustoće prikladna za opis viših multipola. Razvijeni model i numerička implementacija testirani su na nekoliko ilustrativnih primjera deformiranih atomskih jezgara.

Abstract (english)

The Quasipartice Random-Phase Approximation (QRPA) based on energy density functionals is a leading framework for describing collective excitations of atomic nuclei. As the space of quasiparticle excitations can become very large in open-shell heavy nuclei, the standard matrix solution of the QRPA equation is often computationally prohibitive, especially for deformed nuclei. Recently, the Finite Amplitude Method (FAM) was proposed as a feasible method for a solution of the QRPA equation. The method has mainly been used for monopole isoscalar and isovector excitations. In this thesis, efficient implementation based on the relativistic nuclear energy density functional theory, suitable for higher multipole excitations, has been developed, tested and applied on excitations of deformed atomic nuclei.
