Abstract

Cilj rada bio je odrediti raznolikost i strukturu zajednice slatkovodnih puževa srednjeg i donjeg toka rijeke Cetine. Terensko istraživanje provedeno je od kolovoza 2004. do kolovoza 2005. na tri postaje – Trilj, u srednjem toku, gdje su uzorci prikupljeni na jednom staništu, te Čikotina lađa i Radmanove mlinice u donjem toku, gdje su uzorci prikupljeni na tri različita mikrostaništa (podloge). Puževi su determinirani do razine vrste i podvrste. Na osnovi brojnosti jedinki određena je njihova gustoća. Provedena su morfometrijska mjerenja kućice te je analizirana uzrasna struktura najzastupljenijih vrsta. Tijekom istraživanja ukupno je pronađeno 19 vrsta slatkovodnih puževa od kojih 6 pripada porodici Hydrobiidae. Najveći broj vrsta i gustoća populacije zabilježeni su na valuticama postaje Radmanove mlinice. Većina vrsta mrijesti se tijekom proljeća i ljeta što je dokazano prisutnošću juvenilnih jedinki. Analizom funkcionalnih hranidbenih skupina utvrđeno je da je u srednjem toku jednak udio strugača i detririvora, dok u donjem toku dominiraju strugači. Rezultati klaster analize sličnosti zajednica puževa na različitim postajama i mikrostaništima na osnovi gustoće populacija pokazala je jasno izdvajanje zajednice srednjeg od zajednica donjeg toka rijeke Cetine.

Abstract (english)

The main objective of this study was to determine the diversity and community structure of freshwater snails of middle and lower reach of the Cetina river. Field research was conducted from August 2004 to August 2005 at three stations - Trilj, in the middle reach, where the samples were collected in one habitat type, and Čikotina lađa and Radmanove mlinice in the lower reach, where the samples are collected in three different microhabitats (substrates). Snails are determined to species and subspecies level.The species density was determined based on the number of individuals. Based on morphometric measurements, age structure of most abundant species was analyzed. During the study, a total of 19 species of freshwater snails was found and 6 belong to the family Hydrobiidae. The highest number of species and population density were recorded on pebbles of Radmanove mlinice station. Most species spawn during spring and summer, as evidenced by the presence of juveniles. The analysis of functional feeding groups showed an equal share of scrapers and detririvores in the middle reach, while the lower reach is dominated by scrapers. Results of the cluster analysis of snail communities similarity at different stations and microhabitats, based on population density, showed a clear distincition of middle and lower reach communities of the Cetina river.
