Abstract

Cilj ovog rada je bio istražiti dinamiku selidbe ptica preko močvarnog područja Vranskog jezera te analizirati najčešće vrste i ustanoviti njihovo porijeklo. Metode istraživanja uključuju lov ptica okomitim ornitološkim mrežama, prstenovanje i determinaciju ulovljenih vrsta. Obrada podataka je provedena pomoću programa Microsoft Office Excel i Saga. Istraživanje je provedeno na temelju nalaza prikupljenih tokom 11 godina (2001.-2011.). Nađeno je ukupno 814 ptica, 362 domaćih i 452 stranih nalaza. Oni pokazuju kako je to područje od velike važnosti kao odmorište za ptice selice afričko-euroazijskog selidbenog sustava, bilo da sele jugozapadnim, jugoistočnim ili središnjim selidbenim putem iz Europe u Afriku. Najčešće vrste selice Vranskog jezera su: veliki trstenjak, crnoprugasti trstenjak, trstenjak cvrkutić, trstenjak rogožar, lastavica, sjenica mošnjarka, bregunica, vodomar i crnokapa grmuša. Vrste imaju različite selidbene strategije. Ptice selice su upravo zbog selidbe iznimno ugrožena skupina životinja te da bi se zaštitilo određenu vrstu, potrebno je otkriti i zaštititi sva odmorišta i zimovališta te vrste. Kao sjecište tri selidbena puta, Vransko jezero je od posebne važnosti te su tršćaci ovog močvarnog područja važno stanište, odmorište i zimovalište za ptice.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this paper was to research bird migration dynamics across the swamp area Lake Vransko and to analyze the most abundant species and determine their origin. Research methods include bird capturing with vertical ornithological mist nets, bird ringing and determination of captured birds. Data processing was done with Microsoft Office Excel and Saga software. The research was conducted on basis of bird recoveries during an 11 year period (2001.-2011.). Total of 814 birds were recovered, 362 domestic and 452 foreign recoveries. They show that Lake Vransko is of great importance as a stopover site for migratory birds of African-Eurasian migratory system, whether they migrate using the southwest, southeast or central migratory flyway from Europe to Africa. The most abundant species of this area are: Great Reed-warbler, Moustached Warbler, Eurasian Reed-warbler, Sedge Warbler, Barn Swallow, Eurasian Penduline-tit, Sand Martin, Common Kingfisher and Blackcap. These species have different migratory strategies. Migratory birds are very endangered animal group because of their migration. In order to protect a particular species, it is necessary to identify and protect all stopover sites and wintering ground of that species. As a crossroads of the three migratory paths, Lake Vransko is of special importance and the reedbeds of this swamp area are an important habitat, stopover site and wintering ground for birds.
