Abstract

Teorija nepreciznih vjerojatnosti zajednički je naziv za više međusobno povezanih matematičkih teorija koje se mogu smatrati generalizacijama teorije vjerojatnosti. Od svih takvih teorija, mi detaljnije obrađujemo jednu od trenutno najpopularnijih: teoriju donjih predviditelja Petera Walleya. U ovome radu bavimo se redom: samim pojmom nepreciznih vjerojatnosti i motivacijom za njihovo proučavanje, osnovnim konceptima teorije donjih predviditelja i njenim poveznicama s (klasičnom, preciznom) teorijom vjerojatnosti, jednostavnim primjerima modela u praksi te usporedbom teorije donjih predviditelja s nekoliko blisko povezanih teorija nepreciznih vjerojatnosti.

Abstract (english)

Imprecise probability theory is an umbrella term for many interconnected mathematical theories, most of which can be seen as generalisations of probability theory. Of all those theories, the theory that we describe in detail here is currently one of the most popular ones: Peter Walley’s theory of lower previsions. In this work will be presented: the idea of imprecise probability and motivation for its use, basic concepts of theory of lower previsions and its connections to (classical, precise) probability theory, simple practical examples and comparison of theory of lower previsions to several closely connected imprecise probability theories.
