Abstract

Pontski galeb je gnjezdarica istočne Europe i Azije čiji se areal recentno širi prema zapadu Europe. U Hrvatskoj je zabilježen kao preletnica i zimovalica. Budući da se literaturni podaci za pontskog galeba u Hrvatskoj najčešće odnose na galeba klaukavca, cilj je ovog rada bio utvrditi porijeklo pontskih galebova koji zimuju u Hrvatskoj, odnosno na kojem području se gnijezde te kojoj populaciji pripadaju. Analizirani su nalazi pontskih galebova u Hrvatskoj od 2001. do 2019. godine dobiveni iz Arhive prstenovanja Zavoda za ornitologiju HAZU. Gotovo sve prstenovane jedinke zabilježene u Hrvatskoj pripadaju populacijama srednje i istočne Europe. Zabilježene su četiri nove države porijekla pontskih galebova: Litva, Češka, Mađarska i Rumunjska. Zabilježena je prva jedinka viđena u Hrvatskoj koja pripada populaciji pontskih galebova s Crnog mora. Najveća zračna udaljenost od mjesta nalaza jedinke do mjesta prstenovanja iznosi 1507 kilometara (odlagalište otpada u Jakuševcu – Novo-Troitskoye, Dnjipropetrovska oblast, Ukrajina). Prstenovane jedinke u Hrvatskoj viđene su od listopada do ožujka.

Abstract (english)

The Caspian gull is a breeding species of eastern Europe and Asia and has recently been spreading to western parts of Europe. It is regulary seen on migration and wintering in Croatia. Since the literature data for the Caspian gull in Croatia is mainly reffering to the Yellow-legged gull, the aim of this research was to determine the origin of Caspian gulls wintering in Croatia, where they are breeding and which population they belong to. Recoveries of Caspian gulls in Croatia from 2001 to 2019 have been analyzed. The recoveries were obtained from the ringing archive of the Institute of Ornithology CASA. Almost all of the recorded individuals of Caspian gulls belong to populations from the central and eastern Europe and four new countries of origin have been recorded: Lithuania, Czechia, Hungary and Romania. First individual seen in Croatia that belongs to the Caspian gull population of the Black sea has been recorded. The longest distance from the place of recovery to the place where the individual has been ringed is 1507 kilometers (rubbish dump in Jakuševec – Novo-Troitskoye, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine). Ringed individuals were seen from October to March.
