Abstract

U istraživačkom dijelu istražena je poveznica između strukturnih karakteristika i mehaničkih svojstva kristala koordinacijskih polimera kadmijevih(II) halogenida s 2(1H)-pirazinonom (2-pyz) i 4(3H)-pirimidinonom (4-pym). Priređeno je šest spojeva: [CdCl2(2-pyz)2]n (1), [CdBr2(2-pyz)2]n (2), [CdI2(2-pyz)2]n (3), [CdCl2(4-pym)2]n (4), [CdBr2(4-pym)2]n (5), [CdI2(4-pym)2]n (6), koji su identificirani infracrvenom spektroskopijom, simultanom TGA/DSC analizom te difrakcijom rendgenskih zraka u polikristalnom uzorku. Kristalna i molekulska struktura spoja 4 određena je rendgenskom strukturnom analizom. Istražena je priroda mehaničkog odziva kristala priređenih spojeva te je kvantificiran stupanj savitljivosti kristala spojeva 1, 2, 4 i 5 koji su dali elastičan odgovor uslijed primjene mehaničke sile. Kristali spojeva 3 i 6 nisu bili zadovoljavajuće kvalitete za ispitivanje mehaničkog odziva. Uočeno je da stupanj mehaničkog odziva kristala priređenih spojeva ovisi o smjeru primjene mehaničke sile i kemijskom sastavu, odnosno povezan je s geometrijom i jakosti međumolekulskih interakcija ostvarenih u kristalnom pakiranju. U metodičkom dijelu naslova „Pokusi na mikroskali–taložne reakcije“ predložena je priprema za nastavnika utemeljena na pokusima na mikroskali koji integriraju principe 'zelene kemije' u nastavu i nastavnoj strategiji učenja otkrivanjem, primjerene uzrastu učenika trećeg razreda gimnazije. Načinjen je pregled gimnazijske udžbeničke literature, postavljeni odgojno-obrazovni ishodi te predložen radni listić.

Abstract (english)

In the research part, the connection between the structural characteristics and mechanical properties of crystalline coordination polymers of cadmium(II) halides with 2(1H)-pyrazinone (2-pyz) and 4(3H)-pyrimidinone (4-pym) was investigated. The following six compounds were prepared: [CdCl2(2-pyz)2]n (1), [CdBr2(2-pyz)2]n (2), [CdI2(2-pyz)2]n (3), [CdCl2(4-pym)2]n (4), [CdBr2(4-pym)2]n (5), [CdI2(4-pym)2]n (6) and identified by infrared spectroscopy, simultaneous TGA/DSC analysis and X-ray powder diffraction. The crystal and molecular structure of compound 4 was determined by single crystal X-ray structural analysis. Nature of the mechanical response was examined and the extent of elastic response was quantified for cystals of compounds 1, 2, 4 and 5. The crystals of compounds 3 and 6 were not of satisfactory quality for testing the mechanical responsivness. It was observed that the degree of mechanical response of the crystals of the prepared compounds depends on the direction of application of mechanical force and chemical composition, i.e. are correlated with geometry and strength of intermolecular interactions achieved in the crystal package. In the methodological part of the title "Microscale chemistry experiments–precipitation reactions" teacher preparation based on microscale experiments that integrate the principles of 'green chemistry' in teaching and teaching strategy of inquiry learning, appropriate to the age of third grade high school students, is proposed. A review of high school textbook literature was made, educational outcomes were set and a worksheet was proposed.
