Abstract

Na području naselja Štrmac u Labinštini nalazi se sanirano ilegalno odlagalište
šljake i pepela raškog ugljena. Raški ugljen je visokosumporni ugljen s maksimalnim
udjelom organskog S višim od 10% i obogaćen Se, Mo, V i U. Uporabom nuklearne
analitičke metode protonski inducirane rendgenske emisijske spektroskopije (PIXE)
analiziran je elementni sastav jedanaest uzoraka tla prikupljenih u podnožju odlagališta.
Rezultati upućuju na povišene koncentracije S, Cr, V, Ni, Zn i Se. PIXE metoda pokazala je
visoke razine točnosti i preciznosti. Preciznost je bila najveća za elemente 19 ≤ Z ≤ 28, osim
Cr i Mn. Točnost tj. relativna pogreška većine analiziranih elemenata iznosila je ±20%,
najviše za elemente 20 ≤ Z ≤ 26, osim Cr. Točnost je bila najniža za Sr i Se.

Abstract (english)

In the town of Štrmac in the wider area of City of Labin remediated landfill of
Raša coal slag and ash is situated. Raša coal is super high organic sulphur coal with
maximum organic S concentrations over 10% additionally enriched in Se, Mo, V and U.
Using Proton Induced X-ray Emission spectroscopy (PIXE) eleven soil samples collected
around the landfill were analysed. Moreover, quality check of PIXE as a method for
monitoring of soils polluted by Raša coal was executed. Concentrations of S, Cr, V, Ni, Zn
and Se were found to be particularly elevated. PIXE method was shown to be adequately
accurate and precise in respect to most analysed elements. Precision was especially good for
elements 19 ≤ Z ≤ 28, with the exception of Cr and Mn. Accuracy for almost all analysed
elements was within ± 20% of relative error and the highest accuracy was achieved for
elements 20 ≤ Z ≤ 26,, with the exception of Cr. Only other elements with inadequate
accuracy were Se and Sr which had extreme relative error values.
