Abstract

Tuča je ekstremna pojava koja može uzrokovati velike materijalne štete. Iako je proces nastanka tuče poznat, o toj pojavi se i dalje ne zna dovoljno. Iz tog razloga su zadnjih nekoliko godina u svijetu napravljena brojna istraživanja o klimatologiji tuče, a upravo je to tema i ovog rada. Preciznije, proučava se klimatologija tuče na području hrvatskog priobalja, isključujući Istru za koju je ovakvo istraživanje već napravljeno. Rezultati se baziraju na podacima o tuči s 55 postaja iz dnevnika motrenja za razdoblje od 1973. do 2019. godine, te ERA 5 podacima za indekse nestabilnosti. Rezultati su pokazali značaju međugodišnju i prostornu varijabilnost, zbog koje je bilo potrebno napraviti razdiobu i na četiri poddomene. Pokazalo se kako je na cijeloj obali najveća aktivnost tuče prisutna u hladnijem dijelu godine, a smanjena aktivnost u toplijem dijelu godine. Dnevni hodovi pokazali su tri dnevna maksimuma – jutarnji, podnevni i poslijepodnevni, a za trajanje je najčešće zabilježeno 5 minuta. Izdvojene su 3 postaje kao one na kojima je godišnje bilo najviše dana s tučom, a to su Senj, Drniš i Gračac. Analizirani su i indeksi nestabilnosti (KI, CAPE, DLS i visina 0. izoterme) koji bi mogli pojasniti kakvi atmosferski uvjeti potiču nastanak tuče.

Abstract (english)

Hail is an extreme phenomenon that can cause great material damage. Although the process of hail formation is known, there is still insufficient knowledge about this topic. For this reason, numerous researches on hail climatology around the world have been made in the last few years, and this exactly is the topic of this paper. More precisely, the climatology of hail on the coastal part of Adriatic is being studied, excluding Istria, for which such research has already been done. The results are based on hail data from 55 stations from the observation log for the period from 1973 to 2019, and ERA 5 data for instability indices. The results showed significant interannual and spatial variability, due to which it was necessary to make a division into 4 subdomains. It was shown that on the entire coast, the highest hail activity is present in the colder part of the year, and reduced activity in the warmer part of the year. Daily patterns showed 3 daily highs – morning, noon and afternoon, and the duration was usually 5 minutes. Three stations were singled out as the ones with the most hail days a year: Senj, Drniš and Gračac. Finally, instability indices were studied (KI, CAPE, DLS and freezing level height), which could explain the atmospheric conditions in which hail occurs.
