Abstract

Uzrok je smrti svako patološko stanje (bolest, ozljeda) koje ju je izravno prouzročilo. U Hrvatskoj do sada nisu rađena istraživanja uzroka smrti s geografskog stajališta. U razdoblju od 1891. do 1900. analizirani su uzroci smrti zapisani u matičnim knjigama umrlih župa Dobrinj i Vrbnik. Uzroci smrti prema skupinama prikazani su koropletnim kartama, a prostorna raširenost određenih zaraznih bolesti prikazana je ponderiranim elipsama prostorne distribucije. Istraživanjem je utvrđeno kako su glavne skupine uzroka smrti bolesti dišnog sustava, bolesti živčanog sustava i zarazne bolesti. Također, utvrđeno je kako postoje prostorne razlike u pojavnosti različitih uzroka smrti na razini naselja. Naselja na istočnom dijelu otoka Krka grupirana su prema vodećem uzroku smrti krajem 19. stoljeća.

Abstract (english)

Cause of death is every pathological state ( disease, injury) which directly causes it. In Croatia researches into causes of death from a geographical point of view have not been carried out so far. Between 1891 and 1900 causes of death written down in the records of the dead in the parishes of Dobrinj and Vrbnik were analysed. Causes of death according to groups are shown in thematic maps and spacial distribution of certain contagious diseases is shown by weighted directional distribution. According to researches, the main groups of causes to death are respiratory diseases, diseases of nervous system and contagious diseases.. It was also established that there are spacial differences in occurrence of different causes of death on the level of settlements. The settlements in the eastern part of the island of Krk are grouped according to leading cause of death at the end of 19 th century.
