Abstract

Grad Zaprešić naglo se razvio u drugoj polovici 20. stoljeća, potaknut početkom suburbanizacije Zagreba, glavnog i najvećeg grada Republike Hrvatske. Uslijed takvog, „neprirodnog“ rasta, ovaj rad bavi se pitanjima razrađenim i analiziranim u tri glavne cjeline. Prva cjelina bavi se ispitivanjem zadovoljstva stanovnika grada životom u Zaprešiću, s naglaskom na kulturno-zabavne i rekreacijske mogućnosti grada. Drugom, i najvažnijom, cjelinom rada nastoji se uvidjeti osjećaju li stanovnici grada povezanost s gradom, smatraju li da postoji imaginativna podjela grada na kvartove, ima li grad jasno izražen prostorni identitet te doživljavaju li svoj grad kao svojevrsnu „spavaonicu“ Zagreba. Posljednja cjelina istražuje postoje li mjesta ugode i neugode za stanovnike te koji su razlozi tome. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku od 12 intervjuiranih i 258 anketiranih stanovnika grada Zaprešića, razdijeljenih sukladno ustaljenoj podjeli grada na dve gradske četvrti koje za stanovnike grada preuzimaju ulogu kvartova i određuju „kvartovsku pripadnost“. Korištenjem deskriptivne statistike i kodiranja transkripta intervjua, odgovara se na postavljena pitanja i donose zaključci.

Abstract (english)

The city of Zaprešić developed rapidly in the second half of the 20th century, prompted by the beginning of suburbanization of Zagreb, the capital and largest city of the Republic of Croatia. Due to such “unnatural” growth, this paper deals with questions elaborated and analyzed in three main units. The first unit examines the satisfaction of the city's inhabitants with life in Zaprešić, with an emphasis on the city's cultural-entertainment and recreational possibilities. The second, and most important, part of the paper aims to see whether the residents of the city feel connected to the city, whether they think there is an imaginative division of the city into quarters, whether the city has a clearly expressed spatial identity and whether they perceive their city as a sort of “dormitory” of Zagreb. The last unit explores whether there are places of comfort and discomfort for the inhabitants and what are the reasons for their existence. The research was carried out on a sample of 12 interviewed and 258 surveyed inhabitants of Zaprešić, divided according to the established division of the city into two urban districts that take over the role of quartz for the city's inhabitants and determine “quarterly affiliation”. Using descriptive statistics and by coding interview transcripts, questions are answered and conclusions drawn.
