Abstract

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je sastaviti popis vlažnih staništa na otocima s pripadajućim
podatcima o njihovim značajkama (npr. položaj, površina, postanak, dinamika vode, itd.)
sukladno protokolu MedIsWet projekta. U proljeće i ljeto 2020. godine provedeno je
istraživanje na 151 lokalitetu vlažnih staništa većih od 0,10 ha na 31 otoku duž Jadrana. Na
temelju prikupljenih podataka napravljen je pregled učestalosti pojedinih kategorija
prikupljenih značajki vlažnih staništa, te je analiziran njihov status s obzirom na njihovo
trenutno stanje očuvanosti i načine korištenja kako bi se dobio uvid u njihovu ugroženost. Po
svom položaju, 70 vlažnih staništa kategorizirano je ako morsko/obalno, a 81 kao kopneno.
Najviše vlažnih staništa nalazi se na otocima sjevernog dijela Jadrana: 28 na Cresu, 27 na Pagu
te 23 na Krku. Otoci smješteni južnije na Jadranu uglavnom imaju manje vlažnih staništa.
Vlažna staništa otoka Paga čine čak 37,75 % ukupne površine vlažnih staništa u ovome
istraživanju. Prema kategorijama vlažnih staništa Ramsarske konvencije 60 vlažnih staništa
pripada kopnenim, 73 morskim/obalnim i 18 umjetnim vlažnim staništima. Trajno prisutna
voda zabilježena je na 94, sezonalna na 50, a povremena na 7 vlažnih staništa. S obzirom na
mali udio vlažnih staništa obuhvaćenih nacionalnim kategorijama zaštite (14,6 %), u svrhu
očuvanja vlažnih staništa koja su Natura 2000 mrežom obuhvaćena znatno više (86,1 %),
neophodno je poštivanje Direktive o staništima koje podrazumijeva izradu planova upravljanja
područjima i njihovo provođenje.

Abstract (english)

The goal of this research was to compile a list of wetland habitats on the islands with associated
data on their characteristics (e.g., location, surface, origin, water dynamics, etc.) in accordance
with the protocol of the MedIsWet project. In the spring and summer of 2020, research was
conducted on 151 locations of wet habitats larger than 0.10 ha on 31 islands along the Adriatic.
Based on the collected data, an overview of the frequency of certain categories of collected
characteristics of wetland habitats was made, and their status was analysed regarding their
current state of conservation and ways of use in order to gain insight into their threat. According
to their location, 70 wetlands are categorized as marine/coastal, and 81 as terrestrial. The most
wet habitats are found on the islands of the Northern part of the Adriatic: 28 on Cres, 27 on Pag
and 23 on Krk. Islands located further south in the Adriatic generally have fewer wet habitats.
Wet habitats on the island of Pag make as much as 37.75% of the total area of wetlands in this
study. According to the categories of wetlands of the Ramsar Convention, 60 wetlands belong
to terrestrial, 73 to marine/coastal and 18 to artificial wetlands. Permanently present water was
recorded in 94, seasonal in 50, and occasional in 7 wet habitats. Considering the small share of
wetlands covered by national protection categories (14.6%), in order to preserve the wetlands
that are covered by the Natura 2000 network, which is significantly more (86.1%), it is
necessary to comply with the Habitats Directive, which entails the creation of area management
plans and their implementation.
