Abstract

Na području Vejalnice (središnja Medvednica) je u miocenskim glinovitim vapnencima zabilježen „pteropodni događaj“ i u tu svrhu je istražen profil kroz naslage koje sadrže pteropode. Popratna fauna (foraminifere, ostrakodi, spikule spužvi, ostatci bodljikaša, zubi riba) izdvojena je metodom muljenja, a prikupljeni su i makrofosili mekušaca. Abstract (english)

In the Vejalnica area (central Medvednica) Miocene clayey limestones bear evidence of "pteropod event" and for this purpose a profile was surveyed through deposits containing Miocene pteropods. Supporting fauna (foraminifers, ostracods, sponge spicule, echinoderm remains and fish teeth) were isolated by the wet-sieving technique, and macrofossils of molluscs were also collected.
