Abstract

U okviru ovog diplomskog rada opisana je sinteza kompleksa nikla(II) s tridentatnim
hidrazonskim ligandima N'-(2-hidroksibenziliden)-4-hidroksibenzohidrazonom (SalHBOH), N'-(2-
hidroksi-3-metoksibenziliden)-4-hidroksibenzohidrazonom (VanHBOH) i N'-(2-hidroksi-4-
metoksibenziliden)-4-hidroksibenzohidrazonom (4-OMeSalHBOH). Oktaedarski kompleksi [Ni(HL)2]
(1-3) dobiveni su direktnom reakcijom [Ni(OAc)2]∙4H2O i odgovarajućeg liganda pod specifičnim
reakcijskim uvjetima. Korištenjem [MoO2(L)(EtOH)] kao prekursora i primjenom transmetalacije
dobiveni su mononuklearni kompleksi [Ni(HSalHBOH)2]∙2MeOH (1), [Ni(HVanHBOH)2]∙MeOH (2)
i organsko-anorganski hibridni spoj [Ni2(H4-OMeSalHBOH)2(CH3OH)4][Mo4O10(OCH3)6] (4).
Dodatkom piridina priređeni su mononuklearni kompleksi s kvadratno-planarnom geometrijom
[Ni(SalHBOH)(py)] (5), [Ni(VanHBOH)(py)] (6) i [Ni(4-OMeSalHBOH)(py)] (7). Produkti su
identificirani kemijskom analizom, infracrvenom spektroskopijom i termogravimetrijskom analizom.
Difrakcijom rentgenskog zračenja na monokristalnom uzorku određena je kristalna i molekulska
struktura [Ni(HSalHBOH)2]∙2MeOH i [Ni2(H4-OMeSalHBOH)2(CH3OH)4] [Mo4O10(OCH3)6].

Abstract (english)

This thesis describes synthesis of nickel(II) complexes with tridentate hydrazone ligands N'-
(2-hydroxybenzylidene)-4-hydroxybenzohydrazone (SalHBOH), N'-(2-hydroxy-3-
methoxybenzylidene)-4-hydroxybenzohydrazone (VanHBOH) and N-(2-hydroxy-4-
methoxybenzylidene)-4-hydroxybenzohydrazone (4-OMeSalHBOH). The octahedral complexes
[Ni(HL)2] (1-3) are obtained by direct reaction of [Ni(OAc)2]∙4H2O and appropriate ligand under
specific reaction conditions. Starting from [MoO2(L)(EtOH)] complexes as precursors and applying
metal-exchange procedure, the mononuclear complexes [Ni(HSalHBOH)2]∙2MeOH (1),
[Ni(HVanHBOH)2]∙MeOH (2) and hybrid organic-inorganic compound [Ni2(H4-
OMeSalHBOH)2(CH3OH)4][Mo4O10(OCH3)6] (4) are achieved. When pyridine is used, mononuclear
complexes with the square-planar geometry seems to be favoured as found for complexes
[Ni(SalHBOH)(py)] (5), [Ni(VanHBOH)(py)] (6) and [Ni(4-OMeSalHBOH)(py)] (7). The resulting
complex compounds are identified by means of the chemical analysis, infrared spectroscopy and
thermogravimetric analysis. Crystal and molecular structures of [Ni(HSalHBOH)2]∙2MeOH and
[Ni2(H4-OMeSalHBOH)2(CH3OH)4][Mo4O10(OCH3)6] are determined by the single crystal X-ray
diffraction method.
