Abstract

Alge su prvi eukariotski organizmi koji su mogli obavljati fotosintezu. Smatraju se najvećim proizvođačima kisika na Zemlji.Od mikrometarskih planktona do i više od 50 metara dugih morskih trava, one zauzimaju gotovo sva staništa. Imaju veliku primjenu i korist u prehrambene, industrijske, tehnološke i kozmetičke svrhe. Oblikom su slične biljkama, ali bez listova, korjena i cvijeta. U ovom radu se opisane metode uzgoja algi i njena korist i značaj u prehrambene svrhe. Njeni esencijalni nutrijenti su se iskazali kao dobra zamjena za lijekove, hranu i energiju, poglavito kada je potreba za novim i boljim izvorima energije postala nužnom. Najpoznatije mikroalge za prehranu na tržištu su Chlorella i Spirulina.

Abstract (english)

Algae are the first eukaryotic organisms that manage to perform photosynthesis. They are considered to be the biggest oxygen producers on the planet. From micrometar plankton to more than 50 metars long seaweed, they occupy all the environmental habitants. They have a big application and benefit in food, industrial, technological and cosmetic purposes. By shape they resemble to plants, but without leaves, roots and flowers. This work more closely explains the methods of algae cultivation, their meaning and benefits in the food sector. Their essential nutrients have shown to be a very good medicine, food and energy supplement, especially when the need for new and better potential energy has become necessary. The most known for cultivation in food sector are Chlorella and Spirulina.
