Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu opisane su promjene koje je turizam uzrokovao u prostoru Omiško – poljičkog kraja. Glavne metode korištene pri izradi ovog rada su analiza statističkih podataka, uz konzultiranje postojeće literature. Omiško – poljički kraj dugo je bio industrijski razvijeno područje, ali nakon propasti industrije na ovom području stanovništvo se okreće turizmu koji postaje jedna od glavnih privrednih grana, a time i jedan od glavnih modifikatora prostora. Industrija je donekle dala temelje za razvoj turizma ovoga područja, iako su te dvije gospodarske djelatnosti oprečne. Sredstva koja su zaradili u industriji i drugim djelatnostima, lokalno stanovništvo je uložilo u prenamjenu svojih kuća u turističke smještajne kapacitete. Upravo prenamjenom (nadograđivanjem) i gradnjom novih kuća nastaju najveće promjene u prostoru, fizionomske koje su uz socio-ekonomske promjene najviše obilježile modifikaciju Omiško – poljičkog kraja u turistički razvijeno područje.

Abstract (english)

This master thesis describes changes that tourism brought to the Omiš-Poljica area. The main methods used in making this thesis are analysis of statistical data, with consultation the existing literature. The Omiš-Poljica area was long an industrialy developed territory, but after the downfall of industry it turns to tourism,which becomes one of the leading economy sectors of this area and with that also one of the main modifiers of the area. The industry has partly made the basis for the development of tourism of in this region, although they are the two opposing economic activity. Assets that were erned in industry and other economic activitys, local residents had invested in conversion of private houses into tourist accommodations. Exactly with conversion (rebuiltding) and construction of new houses, the biggest changes in in the enviroment are occuring, the physiognomical ones, along with the socio-economic transformations have mostly marked the modification of the Omiš-Poljica area into a touristic developed area.
