Abstract

Predmet istraživanja ovog rada su mogućnosti razvoja u Virovitičkom kraju, koji obuhvaća prostor bivše općine Virovitica, odnosno prostor današnjeg Grada Virovitice te općina Lukač, Gradina, Suhopolje i Špišić Bukovica. Periferan položaj Virovitičkog kraja utjecao je na njegov demografski i gospodarski razvoj. Temeljni problem predstavlja depopulacija i zaostajanje gospodarstva u cjelini. U radu su analizirani demografski i gospodarski pokazatelji i prema njima definirane mogućnosti razvoja.

Abstract (english)

The subject of this thesis are development opportunities in Virovitica region, which includes an area of the former community Virovitica, ie the area of today's municipality Virovitica and communities Gradina, Lukač, Suhopolje and Špišić Bukovica.
