Abstract

Glavni predmet ovog rada je suvremena demogeografska slika Imotske krajine temeljena na podatcima popisa stanovništva 1991. i 2001. godine. Provedene analize potvrdile su pretpostavke o nepovoljnim strukturama stanovništva i negativnim demografskim procesima u krajini. Negativni demografski trendovi potvrđeni su i prvim rezultatima popisa stanovništva 2011. godine, pa nije izgledno da će se Imotska krajina uspješno razvijati bez ozbiljne državne potpore. Abstract (english)

The main object of this work is a contemporary demogeographics of Imotski region data based on the census 1991. and 2001. The conducted analysis confirmed the unfavorable assumptions about population structure and negative demographic processes in the region. Negative demographic trends have been confirmed and the first results of the census 2011., so it is not likely that the Imotski region flourish without serious government support.
