Abstract

Ovaj rad je fokusiran na primjenu GPS ručnog uređaja (Garmin 76CSx) kao alata za kartiranje pri izradi geomorfoloških karata. Zbog jednostavnosti rukovanja, prihvatljivoj cijeni, brzini mjerenja te točnošću kojom može konkurirati ostalim geodetskim instrumentima, idealan je uređaj za kartiranje pri mjerilima sitnijim od 1:10 000. Kartiranjem na području Medvednice (Ponikve) prikupljeni su podaci nekoliko geomorfoloških profila i točkastih objekata koji su naposlijetku uspoređeni sa podacima iz HOK-a u Arc Gis 9.3 softveru.

Abstract (english)

This paper focuses on the application of GPS handheld devices (Garmin 76CSX) as a tool for mapping in order to create geomorphological maps. GPS is the ideal device for mapping at scales smaller than 1:10 000 because of the ease of handling, reasonable cost, speed and accuracy of measurements that can compete with other surveying instruments. Mapping in the area of Medvednica (Ponikve) we collected data of several morphological profiles and point objects that were later compared with data from the HOK map in the Arc Gis 9.3 software.
