Abstract

Osnovni zadatak i objekt ovog rada je da se kompleksnim geografskim pristupom provede dubinska analiza razvojnih mogućnosti Grada Sinja u okviru Splitske makroregije. Težište rada je postavljeno na analizu postojećeg stanja u Splitskoj makroregiji sa posebnim fokusom na razvojne pojave i procese koje imaju usku uzročno-posljedičnu vezu sa stanjem u prostoru Grada Sinja. Provedena analiza ukazuje na temeljne unutrašnje razvojne snage i slabosti Grada Sinja, ali i razvojne mogućnosti i opasnosti koje proizlaze iz njegovog šireg okruženja, te su na osnovu toga dane temeljne razvojne smjernice za Grad Sinj. Korištena je metoda detaljne i sveobuhvatne analize dostupne literature, te statističkih izvora podataka, kao i njihova sinteza. Rezultati ukazuju da se na području Splitske makroregije odvijaju određeni procesi koji mogu imati presudan utjecaj na budući razvoj Grada Sinja, ali čijoj je valorizaciji potrebno pristupiti proaktivno. Rad isto tako ukazuje na visoke mogućnosti primjene geografskog stručnog znanja, kao i potrebu za njegovim korištenjem prilikom izrade strateških razvojnih dokumenata jedinica lokalne samouprave.

Abstract (english)

The main task and subject of this work is to do the deep analysis of the development opportunities of the city of Sinj inside Split macroregion by using complex geographical approach. Focus is placed on the analysis of the current situation in Split macroregion with a particular focus on development occurences and processes which have the close cause-and-effect connection with the situation in the Sinj area. The analysis points to basic inner development strenght and weakness of Sinj city, and also to development opportunities and risks arising from its wider environment. Based on them the main development guidelines are given to the city of Sinj. We used the method of detailed and comprehensive analysis of the available literature and statistical data sources, as well as their syntesis. The results indicate that certain processes are taking place in the area of Split macroregion which could be crucial to the future development of Sinj, but whose evaluation must be approached proactively. This work also points to the high possibilities of the application of geographic expertise, and the need for its use in the making of local government strategic development plans.
