Abstract

U radu se razmatra prostorni obuhvat regije Dalmacije. Dalmacija je jedan od najstarijih regionalnih pojmova u Hrvatskoj, ali od 1918. godine ne egzistira kao upravno-teritorijalna jedinica. Međutim, ona je sačuvana u kolektivnoj svijesti njezinih stanovnika o zajedničkom podrijetlu, povijesti i teritoriju, što ju čini tradicijskom regijom. Osim analize granica regije, cilj rada je i utvrđivanje specifičnih elemenata koji zajedno tvore dalmatinski regionalni identitet.

Abstract (english)

This paper deals with the spatial extent of Dalmatia region. Even though Dalmatia is one of the oldest regional terms in Croatia, since 1918 it doesn't exist as an administrative unit. However, it's still a traditional region because of its preservation in collective consciousness of its inhabitants that is about common origin, history and territory. Beside the spatial extent, the purpose of this paper is to determine formative elements of the identity of region Dalmatia.
