Abstract

Zaštićena područja pojavljuju se u gotovo svim zajednicama od najranije povijesti. Danas su to područja kojima se upravlja s ciljem trajnog očuvanja cjelokupne prirode, ekosustava i pripadajućih kulturnih vrijednosti. Osim očuvanja i zaštite, jedna od temeljnih funkcija su turizam i rekreacija. Kako bi se izbjegle negativne posljedice, i što efikasnije iskoristile prednosti koje donosi turizam, potrebno ga je razvijati u skladu s održivim razvojem. U Hrvatskoj se udjelom zaštićenih područja u ukupnoj površini ističe Ličko-senjska županija. Na području županije nalazi se najposjećeniji nacionalni park u Hrvatskoj, Plitvička jezera, Nacionalni park Sjeverni Velebit te Park prirode Velebit. Uz pojavu i razvoj ovog oblika turizma u radu se istražuje i njegov utjecaj na prostor te perspektive daljnjeg razvoja.

Abstract (english)

Protected areas appear in almost all communities from the earliest history. Today, these are areas that are managed with the goal of permanent preservation of the nature, ecosystems and associated cultural values. In addition to the preservation and protection, one of the fundamental functions is tourism and recreation. In order to avoid negative consequences, and as efficiently as possible take advantage of the benefits that tourism brings, it is necessary to develop tourism in line with sustainable development. In Croatia, Lika-Senj is the County with the highest proportion of protected areas with a total surface. In the county is the most visited national park in Croatia, Plitvice Lakes, Northern Velebit National Park and Nature Park Velebit. With the emergence and development of this form of tourism, the paper explores its impact on the area and prospects of further development
