Abstract

Dolina Rječine dominantna je dolinska struktura u širem riječkom području formirana na vodonepropusnim naslagama fliša. Okružena je s vapnenačkim blokovima i navlakama različite geološke starosti. Geomorfološke značajke doline Rječine su kompleksne te su izravna posljedica geoloških, hidroloških, klimatskih, orografskih i antropogenih faktora i karakteristika šireg područja. U skladu s dominacijom navedenih faktora i karakteristika na lokalnoj razini formirana je nekolicina tipova reljefa od kojih kroz cijelu dolinu dominira fluviodenudacijski tip s popratnim pojavama i procesima. U ovom radu promatrano područje je podijeljeno na tri manje geomorfološke cjeline prema dominantnim reljefnim i geološkim strukturama koje su detaljno elaborirane. Antropogeni otisak na promatranom području je velik te seže daleko u prošlost. S obzirom na naseljenost područja te rastuće populacijske zahtjeve planirani su daljnji regulacijski i hidrotehnički radovi koje će imati veliki utjecaj na reljefnu strukturu, hidrološke i biološke karakteristike doline uvažavajući postojeći stupanj zaštite prirodnog krajobraza.

Abstract (english)

Rječina valley is a dominant valley structure in the wider area around the City of Rijeka. It is formed on impermeable flysch sediments and is surrounded by calcific blocks, faults and thrusts of different geological age. Geomorphological features of the valley are complex and are a direct consequence of geological, hydrological, climatological, orographic, and anthropological factors and features of the wider, observed area. According to the scale of dominance of previously mentioned factors and features on local levels throughout the valley, a morphogenetic division was made recognizing the dominance of fluviodenudational morphogenetic type of relief. In this work, the observed area has been divided into three geomorphological units according to dominant geological and geomorphological structures. Anthropological impact on the area is big and has a long history. Plans which include regulation and hydrotechnical works have been planned in accordance to population density and growing population demands which, if conducted will have an immense impact on geomorphological, hydrological and biological features of the valley.
