Javni gradski promet jedna je od najbitnijih funkcija i djelatnosti svakog grada. Organizacija sustava javnog gradskog prometa susreće se s brojnim problemima u svojem svakodnevnom funkcioniranju. U radu se analizira postojeće stanje sustava javnog gradskog prijevoza, tj. njegov razvoj kroz povijest i današnja organizacija. Urban public transport is one of the most important functions and services of each city. The organization of urban public transport system is facing numerous problems in its daily functioning. Thesis analyzes the current state of urban public transport system, i.e. its development through history and its present organization. Analysis of the current situation leads to certain problems which are results of outdated organization, unplanned urban expansion and the inertia of such large system.... More The purpose of this paper is to research how a metropolis in the 21st century with an enormous cultural heritage encounters with the traffic problems of the modern era.
