Abstract

Ogulinsko-plaščanska zavala je geografska regija na granici Gorske Hrvatske i Peripanonske Hrvatske. Pripada zoni preklapanja Zagrebačke i Riječke makroregije. Ogulinsko-plaščanska zavala ima dobar geoprometni položaj, od 16. st. prolaze prometnice koje povezuju Zagreb sa naseljima u Primorju. Na razmještaj naselja najveći utjecaj ima reljef i društveno povijesni događaji. Na razvoj naselja posebno je značajno razdoblje za vrijeme rata sa Osmanskim Carstvom, jer je predispozicija obrane bila ključni faktor za budući razvoj naselja. U isto vrijeme izmijenjen je narodnosni sastav stanovništva, što je utjecalo na izgled današnjeg narodnosnog sastava. Tijekom druge polovice dvadesetog stoljeća ukupno kretanje stanovništva Ogulinsko-plaščanske zavale ima negativne trendove, zbog negativnog prirodnog priraštaja i emigracije. Takva demografska situacija posljedica je industrijalizacije, deagrarizacije, loše ekonomske situacije, kao i razvoja svijesti o manje djece. U istom razdoblju smanjuje se udio zaposlenih u primarnim djelatnostima, a povećava se udio zaposlenih u tercijarnim djelatnostima.

Abstract (english)

Ogulin-Plaški basin is a geographical region on the border of Mountainous Croatia and Peripannonian Croatia. It belongs to the overlapping zone of the Zagreb and Rijeka macro-region. Ogulin-Plaški basin has a good geographical position, since the 16th century,there have existed the roads which connect Zagreb with the settlements in the coastal area. The greatest impact on the seating of settlements has the relief and social historical events. The period during the war with the Ottoman Empire was very important for development of settlements, because the predisposition of defense was a key factor for the future development of the settlements. At the same time the ethnic composition of the population was changed, which affected the today's ethnic composition. During the second half of the twentieth century, total population movement in Ogulin-Plaški basin has a negative trend, due to the negative natural increase of population and immigration. This demographic situation is a consequence of industrialization, agrarian reform, bad economic situation, and in raising awareness of a small number of children. In the same period, the part of employed in the primary sector was decreased but the part of employed in the tertiary sector was increased.
