Abstract

Dalmatinski otoci zbog svojih fizičko-geografskih posebnosti i jedinstvenog mediteranskog kulturnog pejzaža predstavljaju zonu visokokvalitetnog životnog prostora. Kako je turizam temeljna gospodarska djelatnost većine dalmatinskih otoka, osnovni problem s kojim se otoci suočavaju je funkcionalna sezonalnost. Posljedica toga je društvena i ukupna slika otoka ljeti i zimi koja se izrazito razlikuje. Suvremene otočne socijalno-prostorne implikacije proizlaze iz interakcije triju društvenih skupina: stalnog otočnog stanovništva, sekundarnog stanovništva i turista. Prostornom analizom i uporabom suvremenih GIS metoda razmotrena je prostorna raspodjela i međusobni odnos navedenih skupina te su generirani društveno-sociološki obrasci među njima, na razini godišnjih doba. Najintenzivnije prostorne interakcije očekivano su vezane uz ljetni period godine, kada na pojedinim otocima boravi višestruko veći broj turista i sekundarnog stanovništva od stalno naseljenog stanovništva, što implicira niz negativnih ekoloških posljedica na otočni sustav. Multifaktorskom analizom u GIS sustavu turističke i ine sezonalnosti razmotrena je održivost prostorne infrastrukture i njezin nosivi kapacitet.

Abstract (english)

Dalmatian archipelago because of its physical geographical features and unique Mediterranean cultural landscape represents a high-quality living space. The main challenge Dalmatian islands are facing with is functional seasonality, as the tourism presents the basis of its economical activity. As a result of aforementioned relationship is different island's social reality in summer and winter seasons. Contemporary island's socio-spatial implications are deriving from the interaction of three social groups: permanent island population, secondary residents and tourists. Usage of modern GIS methods and spatial analysis considering the spatial distribution and relationship of targeted groups have generated with the sociological patterns on seasonal level. The most intense spatial interactions are expected for summer period, when some islands in general are counting excessive number of tourists and secondary residents than permanent island population. That implies a range of negative environmental threats on island's system. Thus, in this paper are discussed the sustainability of physical infrastructure and its carrying capacity utilizing multivariate GIS methods in the frame of tourist and other types of seasonality.
