Abstract

Mikopaleontološkim analizama 47 uzoraka s lokaliteta Blaca, otoka Brača određena je mikrofosilna zajednica i mikrofacijesna obilježja naslaga u kojima se pojavljuje. Gornjokredne naslage otoka Brača litostratigrafski su podijeljene u šest formacija. Predmet istraživanja ovoga rada bila je formacija Gornji Humac točnije vršni dio formacije kojega izgrađuju vapnenci muljne osnove, a na manjem djelu prepoznaju se i dolomitizirani vapnenci. Ukupno je određeno i opisano 17 vrsta velikih bentičkih foraminifera, taumatoporela i dekastronema te pet mikrofacijesnih tipova koji pripadaju u dvije facijesne zone od unutarnjeg dijela karbonatne platforme s normalnim uvjetima do restriktivnog dijela karbonatne platforme. Osim opisa mikrofosilnih zajednica bentičkih foraminifera posebna pažnja posvećena je opisu zajednica taumatoporela i dekastronema.

Abstract (english)

Micropaleontological analysis 47 samples from the Blaca Cove, Island of Brač it is determinate microfossil assemblages and microfacies characteristics of the deposits in which it appears. Upper Cretaceous deposits of the Island of Brač are litostratigraphicly subdivided into six formations. The subject of the research was the Gornji Humac Formation, the upper part of the formation is characterized by limestones, and in the smaller part is also recognized the dolomitized limestones. A total of 17 species of large benthic foraminifera, Thaumatoporella and Decastronema, and five microfacies types belonging to two facies zones from the inner part of the carbonate platform with normal conditions to the restrictive part of the carbonate platform have been determined and described. In addition to the description of microfossil assemblages of benthic foraminifera, special attention is devoted to the description of the associations of Thaumatoporella and Decastronema.
