Abstract

U radu su analizirani pojmovi grada, gradske regije i planiranja, te je prikazan kratak povijesni pregled planiranja u gradovima. Više je faktora koji mogu utjecati na sustav planiranja: pravni sustav, društvena, politička i gospodarska situacija, povijesni razvoj, članstvo u međunarodnim zajednicama. U radu je prikazan i utjecaj članstva u Europskoj Uniji na sustav planiranja. Uspoređeni su planovi koji važe za područje Grada Zagreba i Londona, te je dan pregled zakona koji su kroz povijest oblikovali sustav planiranja u Hrvatskoj i Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu.

Abstract (english)

The thesis analyses the concept of city, city region and planning, and gives a brief historical overview of urban planning. Several factors can affect the planning system: the legal system, social, political and economic situation, historical development, membership in international associations. The influence that membership in the EU places on the planning system is analysed. Currently valid plans for the Zagreb and London regions are compared, and a historical overview of the legislature concerning spatial planning in Croatia and the UK is given.
