Abstract

Konvencionalna poljoprivreda jedan je od najvećih zagađivača na svijetu. Korištenje pesticida, herbicida i umjetnih gnojiva na kojima ovakav tip uzgoja počiva smanjuje kvalitetu tla i podzemnih voda. Monokulture svojim siromašnim genetskim potencijalnom oštećuju ekosustave i smanjuju bioraznolikost. Kao alternativa u svijetu javlja se organska poljoprivreda koja po svojim načelima zabranjuje korištenje kemijskih preparata, ali isto tako najstoji pobuditi svijest među građanima o aktualnim ekološkim problemima. Organska proizvodnja sve je više u porastu stoga se javljaju ideje kako ju što bolje prilagoditi tržištu i njenim količinskim zahtjevima. Uz to, sami potrošači preuzimaju inicijativu te formiraju grupacije poput grupa solidarne razmjene kako bi što lakše došli do željenih organskih prizvoda.

Abstract (english)

Conventional farming is one of the biggest pollutants in the world. The use of pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers, on which this way of farming depends, is degrading the quality of soil and groundwater. Monocultures are scathering our ecosystems and reducing biodiversity with their genetic uniformity. As an alternative, the world welcomes organic farming as a way of producing food without the use of chemically derived substances. Morever, organic farming is striving to educate people on current ecological problems. The popularitiy of organic farming is growing so, in order to satisfy the needs for their products, the governments are trying to organize and adapt the market. In fact, the consumers themselves are taking the initiative and forming associations like solidarity groups which help the producers find their market.
