Abstract

U ovom radu je dan opis dvije najrasprostranjenije blokovne šifre: DES-a i AES-a te pet najvažnijih načina njihovog djelovanja: Electronic Codebook mod (ECB), Cipher Block Chaining mod (CBC), Cipher Feedback mod (CFB), Output Feedback mod (OFB), koji su objavljeni ubrzo nakon objavljivanja DES-a te Counter mod (CTR), koji je dodan nakon objavljivanja AES-a. Kako se pojavljuju nove aplikacije, koje predstavljaju nove zahtjeve i za koje bi postojeći algoritmi šifriranja i dešifriranja mogli biti neadekvatni, svakodnevne provjere sigurnosti, analize dizajna i tehnika te općenito razvoj kriptografije nisu stali.

Abstract (english)

This thesis provides detailed description of two of the most widely used block ciphers: DES and AES, as well as description of five modes of operation: Electronic Codebook Mode (ECB), Cipher Block Chaining Mode (CBC), Cipher Feedback Mode (CFB), Output Feedback Mode (OFB), published shortly after realising of DES and Counter Mode (CTR), added after establishing the AES. As new applications introduce new demands for which existing encryption and decryption algorithms might be inadequate, we need to validate the security, design and techniques in cryptography on a daily basis.
