Abstract

U diplomskom radu istraživane su geokemijske značajke siliciklastičnog detritusa miješanih karbonatno-siliciklastičnih pijesaka pleistocenske starosti s otoka Hvara, Visa, Mljeta, Korčule, Lastova i Lopuda te poluotoka Pelješca i triju recentnih pijesaka s ušća rijeke Cetine, Neretve i Drima. Prema dijagramima baziranim na sadržaju glavnih elemenata, pleistocenski pijesci s otoka Lopuda, Visa i Korčule te poluotoka Pelješca, kao i oni s ušća Neretve i Drima klasificirani su kao litični areniti.... More Pijesci s otoka Mljeta, Lastova i Hvara odgovaraju subarkozama, a pijesak s ušća rijeke Cetine sublitoarenitu. Izvorišne stijene siliciklastičnog detritusa najvećim su dijelom bile kvarcne sedimentne stijene, a manjim dijelom neutralne ili mafitne magmatske stijene. Rekonstrukcije geotektonskog položaja izvorišnog područja analiziranih pijesaka nisu se pokazale pouzdanima jer siliciklastični detritus prema sadržaju glavnih elemenata potječe s pasivnog kontinentskog ruba ili je projiciran izvan polja dijagrama, dok prema sadržaju elemenata u tragovima vuče porijeklo s kontinentskog ili oceanskog otočnog luka. Na temelju odnosa K/Ba i K/Rb utvrđeno je da rijeka Paleocetina nije bila izvor siliciklastičnog detritusa analiziranih pleistocenskih pijesaka. Paleoneretva je najvjerojatnije donosila detritus istaložen na Hvaru, Visu, Lastovu i Pelješcu, a Paleodrim na Korčuli i Mljetu, dok je detritus s Lopuda mogao biti donesen objema spomenutim paleorijekama. Abstract (english)

In master thesis, geochemical characteristics of siliciclastic detritus of mixed carbonate-siliciclastics Pleistocene sands from islands Hvar, Vis, Mljet, Korčula, Lastovo and Lopud, the Pelješac Peninsula and three samples of sands from rivers Cetina, Neretva and Drim had been researched. The diagrams based on the macroelements show that the Pleistocene sands from the islands Lopud, Vis and Korčula, Pelješac Peninsula, as well as those from Neretva and Drim River are classified as lithic... More arenite. The sands from islands Mljet, Lastovo and Hvar are classified as subarkose and sand from Cetina River matched to sublithic arenite. The main source of siliciclastic detritus according to discriminatory diagrams based on the content of macroelements or on their relations were mostly quartz sedimentary rocks and a small part of the neutral or mafitic magmatic rocks. Based on the K/Ba and K/Rb relations it was established that the Paleocetina River was not a source of siliciclastic detritus of analysed Pleistocene sands. Paleoneretva River probably brought detritus deposited on Hvar, Vis, Lastovo and Pelješac, while Paleodrim on Korčula and Mljet, while detritus from Lopud could have been brought to both Paleorivers.
